Benefits and Universal Credit payment dates for Christmas 2018 and New Years
The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) have revealed the changes to dates when payments will be made this year.Â
And for some people it could be good news '“Â with payments arriving earlier than expected.Â

Hide AdResidents who are receiving universal credit after it was rolled out in Portsmouth, will be paid earlier than usual over the festive period.Â
Here is how payments will change:Â
- If you are due to be paid universal credit on December 25, 2018 '“Â it will be paid a day earlier on December 24.Â
- If you are due to be paid universal credit on December 26, 2018 '“Â it will be paid two days earlier on December 24.Â
- If you are due to be paid universal credit on December 27, 2018 '“ it will be on December 27.Â
