The government has declared a prevention zone around England to help protect poultry from the flu strain, which has been confirmed in several countries across Europe.

Keepers of poultry and other captive birds have been ordered to keep them indoors, or take steps to keep them separate from wild birds.

A spokeswoman for the wildlife park, near Winchester, said there had been no cases of avian flu on the site.
