The Royals have already been knocked out of the FA Cup and Hampshire Senior Cup with a lack of goals a key factor.

New striker Dan Simmons, from Pagham, made his debut in the 0-0 draw against Fareham Town.

Joint-manager Mick Catlin is hoping he can make a difference.

The Royals will also have Andy Todd back involved.

Catlin said: '˜We won this competition last season and would love to retain it.

'˜Also we are running out of cup competitions to do well in. It will be nice to get a cup win and it would give us a bit of a filip.

'˜We need to start winning games and the sooner the better. Hopefully our new strike pairing can score the goals we need.'

The visitors hope to have defender Ollie Searle back from injury.

Harry Birmingham is still serving a three-match suspension.

Horndean host Amesbury Town at Five Heads Park looking to add to their recent cup successes tonight (7.45pm).

In the past week they have enjoyed wins in the Hampshire Senior Cup and FA Cup.

Michael Birmingham intends to make the most of his squad.

The Deans boss said: '˜It is a great opportunity for players in the squad to show me their quality.

'˜It gives me a chance to look at some of the younger players coming through. They were fantastic against Lymington last week and I am looking for the same from them.

'˜We have a lot of quality in our squad.'

Baffins Milton Rovers travel to Ringwood Town aiming to bounce back from their FA Cup exit.

Harry Wedlake will definitely miss the trip. Tommy Leigh and Jason Parrish are also doubts.

Rovers boss Steve Leigh said: '˜We must pick ourselves up and rectify our mistakes. It is a competition we feel that we can do well in.'

Petersfield Town welcome Christchurch to Love Lane (7.45pm).
