Portsmouth firefighters rescue boy after he climbs to top of Indian restaurant

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a boy who hurt his ankle while playing on the roof of a restaurant.

The 10-year-old got into difficulty after using a ladder to get to the top of the Blue Cobra restaurant, in London Road, North End, at 11.45am on Saturday.

Southsea crews used an aerial ladder platform to get the boy down.

Cosham firefighters also helped with the operation.

The boy was checked over by paramedics and firefighters say his family were advised to have him checked over at a minor injuries unit.
