Rain damages motorway road
DRIVERS were redirected on a motorway after heavy rain damaged the road.
Highways England said two lanes were closed on the southbound M3 between junctions 4 and 4a, near Fleet, yesterday.
The agency, which maintains major trunk roads, yesterday said: ‘Highways England and its contractors are working hard to repair the surface and will reopen the lanes as soon as it is safe to do so. It is expected that the repairs will be carried out overnight, during a planned closure.’
