35-minute delays on M27 after lorry and car involved in crash

Drivers have been warned of delays of up to 35 minutes on the motorway this evening after a crash between a lorry and a car.

Two lanes are closed on the westbound route of the M27 at Junction 5 for Eastleigh.

Emergency services are at the scene, and Highways England officers are directing traffic into the open lane.

Traffic is backing up to Junction 8 for Bursledon, with drivers being to expect delays of up to 40 minutes.

A photo taken by traffic cameras show a lorry has collided with the car in the second lane, just after the slip road.

It is not known if there has been any injuries.
