A3(M) at Waterlooville: Serious collision closes northbound carriageway as air ambulance attends incident

A SERIOUS crash between a car and a pickup truck has closed the northbound carriageway of the A3(M) near Waterlooville.

Police and ambulance crews, including an air ambulance, were mobilised to the incident between a car and a pickup truck at the junction with Hulbert Road at 11.42am.

A road closure is currently in place on the northbound carriageway at junction 3, which is likely to be in place for some time, according to a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary.

He said: ‘Drivers can exit the carriageway at junction 3 and re-join, however we would advise taking an alternative route.

‘We will update once the road has reopened. Thank you for your patience.

‘We would ask anyone with any information, or dash cam footage, that was travelling near junction 3 on the A3(M) at the relevant time to phone 101 with reference INC 723 of today’s date.’
