'Amazing' no one injured in A3 crash after driver goes wrong way on road

A CAR was left severely damaged this morning after turning around having made a ‘mistake’ on the A3 before it collided with another vehicle – with police saying it was ‘amazing’ no one was injured.

The incident, just after 7am on the A3 north of Petersfield, has resulted in lane two being closed as officers deal with the incident.

Hants Roads Policing posted a picture of the damaged black car on Twitter, which has been left crumpled along the driver’s side.

The post said: ‘Currently dealing with a two vehicle incident.

‘The driver of the black car was in the process of turning round having made a mistake going south on the north bound. Amazingly no persons injured, but lane two closed whilst we await recovery.’
