Police closed a major Southsea road after a man was hit by a car.

The accident happened just after 2.20pm today in Bellevue Terrace.

NOW SEE: Accident causes delays on Eastern Road

A police spokesman said: ‘This involved a car and a male pedestrian, who sustained minor injuries.’

The road was closed until about 3.40pm.
