Portsmouth police investigation continues after Southsea road closed

Police are continuing to investigate after officers closed a road following an incident.

Officers closed Kings Road, between St Paul’s Road and Norfolk Road, in Southsea, Portsmouth, last night.

No details have yet been released by Hampshire police.

There was no sign of police activity at the scene this morning.

Officers had arrived at about 7.30pm.

One person, who did not want to be named, last night told The News: ‘The police haven’t said anything to me yet.

‘I saw flashing lights from outside my window and came out to see what was going on.’
