Six-car crash causes delays of an hour on A3(M)

DRIVERS faced delays of at least an hour on the A3(M) this morning after a crash involving six vehicles.

The incident occurred northbound at the B2070 near Petersfield just after 7am and caused queues back as far as Waterlooville.

Hampshire traffic service Romanse said of the crash this morning this morning: ‘#A3 #Petersfield Northbound – one lane remains BLOCKED due to a multi-vehicle RTI at the B2070, delays approx 1-hour and building.’

Live traffic maps from Google indicate the route is now clear and traffic is flowing freely.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘We were called at 7.05am to a report of a collision involving six vehicles on the A3(M) northbound near Petersfield.

‘No injuries were reported and the road has been cleared.’
