TRAINS travelling towards Portsmouth are being delayed by up to 45 minutes as emergency services scramble to help an ill passenger.

Southern Rail services are currently unable to run from Barnham towards Portsmouth, and customers should expect their journey time to be delayed as they may need to use an alternative route.

Southern Rail tweeted: ‘Emergency services are on their way, and we'll provide an update once we're able to move trains in the area.

‘Tickets are being accepted on Stagecoach Route 700 to help complete your journey.’
