Two people rescued after car hit tree on Hayling Island

TWO people had to be rescued from their car after it hit a tree last night.

Fire crews from Hayling Island, Havant and Cosham were called to Manor Road on Hayling Island just after midnight and released the pair before handing them over to South Central Ambulance Service.

Hampshire Constabulary later confirmed the pair had suffered ‘serious injuries’ and were taken to hospital – you can read the latest update here.

Havant confirmed Cosham Fire Station also attended the incident.
