It follows a week of weather warnings for thunderstorms – although Portsmouth has yet to experience thunder.

Hide AdThis week has also seen the city experience scorching temperatures for most of the days, however temperatures have become cooler in the last 24 hours.

What do the weather warnings say?
The Met Office has issued alerts for the next three days.
Yellow weather warnings for all day Saturday and Sunday and then from midnight until 9pm on Monday.
On its website the Met Office says: ‘Further heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected at times and may lead to some flooding or travel disruption.
‘There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.’
