Full weekend forecast for Portsmouth, Gosport, Havant, Fareham, Waterlooville and Hayling Island as thunderstorm warnings in place

The Met Office has issued yellow alerts for every day up to and including Monday.

It follows a week of weather warnings for thunderstorms – although Portsmouth has yet to experience thunder.

This week has also seen the city experience scorching temperatures for most of the days, however temperatures have become cooler in the last 24 hours.

So what to expect from the weather over the weekend?

What do the weather warnings say?

The Met Office has issued alerts for the next three days.

Yellow weather warnings for all day Saturday and Sunday and then from midnight until 9pm on Monday.

On its website the Met Office says: ‘Further heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected at times and may lead to some flooding or travel disruption.

‘There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.’

Sunday – Rain showers with thunderstorms between 1pm and 4pm – highs of 22C and lows of 17C

Monday – Rain showers – highs of 20C and lows of 17C

Gosport

Saturday – Cloudy weather – highs of 22C and lows of 17C

Sunday – Rain showers with thunderstorms between 1pm and 4pm – highs of 21C and lows of 17C

Monday – Rain showers – highs of 20C and lows of 17C

Fareham

Saturday – Rain showers – highs of 22C and lows of 17C
