Great South Run 2022: Latest Met Office weather forecast for Portsmouth 10-mile run

Thousands of runners of all ages are expected to take part in events tomorrow and Sunday.
The mini, junior and 5k runs will take place tomorrow, and the main 10-mile run will be held on Sunday.

Hide AdIt starts at Clarence Esplanade and will go through Old Portsmouth and Historic Dockyard, returning to Southsea via Canoe Lake.
Participants will be in full preparation for the weekend.
Here is the weather forecast for Portsmouth, according to the Met Office.
Saturday
Sunny skies are set to greet residents at 9am, with temperatures as high as 15C.
Peak temperatures will be 16C, which are forecast to last between 11am and 6pm.

Hide AdHeavy showers are forecast at 1pm, but these are scheduled to clear up from 2pm – with lighter showers expected on and off around 4pm and 6pm.
There is a chance of heavier rain at 7pm, which may continue into the evening.
Wind speeds are set to reach 32mph at most at 3pm.
Sunday
Sunday is set to be a lot drier than Saturday, according to the Met Office.
It is set to be partially cloudy at 7am, with peak temperatures of 14C.

Highs of 16C are set to be reached by 1pm, with cloudy but dry weather forecast for most of the morning and afternoon.
There is a chance of light rain at around 7pm, with heavier showers forecast for later in the evening at 10pm.
Temperatures at night will see highs of 16C.
Wind speeds will reach 21mph at 1pm, and 24mph at 4pm.
