Fareham Wheelers are ready to ride into action at Fairthorne Manor again.

The club will host round 12 of the Wessex League on Sunday, from 10am.

Race organiser Phill Chinn has swiftly put together the event – once more backed by Solent Cycles – after the success of the sixth leg, also hosted by the Wheelers, at the same venue in October.

The Fareham club grabbed a vacant date in the calendar and the result is another programme of a guaranteed excitement in the winter sun.

A new course was successfully introduced for the last event – and the addition of a fresh staircase section should lift it to another level again.

The under-10s kick things off at 10am, with the under-12s (10.15am), youth (10.45am) and novices (10.47am) next.

The veteran 40-49 and junior men are off at 11.45am before the veteran 50-plus (1pm) and women at 1.02pm.

The main event, the senior men’s race, begins at 2.15pm.

Spectators are welcome, with plenty of parking at the venue along with refreshments.

Hot showers and changing facilities are once more available for the riders.
