As a result, Moneys boss Glenn Turnbull is left with Tom Cain, Jack Lee and Harry Birmingham as senior central defenders.

Cain has made 16 starts this term - more than anyone else at the club - but serves a one-game ban for collecting five bookings at Brockenhurst this weekend.

Birmingham, who partnered Cain in central defence in Wednesday’s Portsmouth Senior Cup win against the RoyalNavy Under-23s, will be deployed alongside Lee at Brock.

Asked if he will be aiming to sign another centre half, Turnbull said: ‘I’m not sure the budget will allow it.

‘Ideally, I would like another centre half but someone would have to come in with the expectation that they’re not going to start all the time with Tom Cain, Jack Lee and Harry Birmingham around.’

Fareham host Shaftesbury this weekend, while Baffins Milton Rovers welcome Hythe & Dibden to the PMC Stadium.
