And after news of their interest in Ipswich’s George Edmundson emerged, it’s clear the Blues are aiming high when it comes to bolstering that department.

5. Charlie Cresswell. (Leeds)
Would be a coup and likely a stretch to get the promising Leeds defender, with the 21-year-old already picking up Premier League experience. Talk of going out on loan this month after a lack of playing time at Elland Road, but there's said to be Championship interest from the likes of Blackburn, Middlesbrough and Ipswich. 7. Luis Binks (Coventry City)
Limited playing time at Coventry this season since signing on loan from Italian side Bolgona. The former Spurs youngster who's spent time in Canada has managed 10 league appearances, but has now started the past three games after being out of favour. Photo: Jess Hornby
8. Mattie Pollock (Watford)
The 22-year-old has impressed in loan spells with Aberdeen and Cheltenham, but hasn't started a game for Watford this term - making seven sub appearances. Has spoken of the fact he may have to leave his hometown club to pick up the football he desires. Photo: Paul Harding
