57 cracking images of 1,976 Portsmouth fans' loyalty being repaid at Wolves' Molineux Stadium

Pompey fans’ last trip to Molineux dated back to October 2009 prior to Tuesday’s night’s visit.

Back then, a solitary Hassan Yebda effort earned Avram Grant’s side a 1-0 Premier League win as the then Blues extended their unbeaten run away to Wolves to six games.

The pressure was, therefore, on John Mousinho’s current crop to maintain a proud record that dates back to 1999.

So imagine the away end’s delight when Terry Devlin produced a moment of magic in the 86th minute to cancel out substitute Jordan James’ 62nd minute equaliser and move Pompey to within two points of the Championship play-off positions.

1,976 members of the Fratton faithful were officially present to witness that fine volley and a battling performance from the away side and included four changes to the side that beat Norwich at Carrow Road at the weekend.

Coupled with last Wednesday’s night’s win against Sheffield United, it’s certainly been an enjoyable week or so to be a Pompey fan.
