It appears the homegrown man’s future could hinge on what happens with Steve Seddon, with the Birmingham man a wanted man after an explosive loan stay at Fratton Park.

That’s as part of 57 outings since making the first-team breakthrough as a teenager in 2015.
Haunstrup has found his path blocked to consistent first-team action by Lee Brown and now Seddon, although there’s been runs of games for him in Kenny Jackett’s three years at PO4.

Pompey have held discussions with Brown with his contract up in the summer after joining from Bristol Rovers in 2018.
The Blues have an option on the 29-year-old’s deal which has paved the way for him to remain next term.
