The Blues’ delayed day out at Wembley finally takes place tomorrow when they face Salford City in the Papa John’s Trophy final.
The clash was due to take place more than a year ago but was postponed amid the Covid-19 crisis.
And given we’re 12 months down the line, it means both teams’ squads have changed significantly.
The likes of Charlie Daniels, Michael Jacobs, Rasmus Nicolaisen and Jordy Hiwula all weren’t at Fratton Park when Pompey booked their return to the national stadium with a dramatic 3-2 semi-final win over Exeter in March 2020.
Still, Kenny Jackett’s been given the green light to select from his enture squad after confusion earlier in the week was finally cleared up.
Pompey are in dire form heading into the final, having won just one of their past seven games and dropped to sixth in League One.
Jackett has to not only select a side who can win the final but one that can get its confidence back if the Blues are to yield promotion to the Championship with 13 matches in the league remaining.
Here’s how we think Pompey will start against Salford...

9. Left-midfield - Ronan Curtis

10. Striker - Marcus Harness
Kenny Jackett's scrambling to find his best line-up amid a poor run. Harness impressed when operating as a striker earlier in the season and perhaps he'll finally be reverted to that role. He scored in the semi-final win over Exeter. Photo: Joe Pepler

11. Striker - John Marquis
Scored the late winner in the dramatic semi-final defeat of Exeter. Marquis has been short of his best of late but remains first choice striker and playing alongside Marcus Harness could see him recapture his best. Photo: PinPeP

12. Sub 1 - Lewis Ward
