The Blues bounced back to winning ways with a 2-0 League One success at Priestfield.

Kenny Jackett’s side fully deserved all three points, with John Marquis and Michael Jacobs bagging first-half goals.

In truth, Pompey's triumph could have been more comfortable, with Marquis, Jacobs and Marcus Harness missing good chances in the second period.

The Blues looked far better than in last weekend’s loss to Doncaster, particularly when on the attacking.

And Eisner celebrated the success as Jackett;s side moved up to eighth in the table.

Pompey’s owner wrote on Twitter: ‘Nice to see a stronger, more aggressive #Pompey tonight.’

The Blues are next in action when they travel Sunderland on Saturday.
