Kenny Jackett makes surprise six Portsmouth changes against Arsenal in FA Cup

Kenny Jackett has sprung a Pompey shock by making six changes for the visit of Arsenal.

The Blues boss has rested a string of first-team regulars from tonight’s starting XI, including Tom Naylor, Ronan Curtis and Sean Raggett.

Instead there’s a surprise recall for Gareth Evans, while James Bolton has been presented with a centre-half role.

Elsewhere, Steve Seddon, Ben Close, Ellis Harrison, Marcus Harness and Ross McCrorie come into the much-altered team.

In addition to Naylor, Curtis and Raggett, who drop to the bench, also making way are John Marquis, Lee Brown and Andy Cannon.

Brown is left out of the 18-man squad entirely, as is Brett Pitman, with Jack Whatmough among the substitutes.

Pompey: Bass, McCrorie, Burgess, Bolton, Seddon, Close, McGeehan, Harness, Evans, Williams, Harrison.

Subs: MacGillivray, Naylor, Curtis, Raggett, Whatmough, Marquis, Cannon.
