The Pompey striker has netted three goals in five appearances, yet continues to be overlooked for more first-team involvement.

With his short-term contract up on January 20, there are Fratton Park concerns that the 26-year-old may be lured elsewhere by the offer of regular football.

Still, journalist Alan Nixon, from The Sun, has today Tweeted that Swindon have lodged an ‘injury’ for the ex-Coventry City striker.

Certainly the promotion-chasing Blues don’t want to lose the services of Hiwula, with John Marquis and Ellis Harrison the only other strikers in his 22-man squad.

And Pompey are hoping to convince Hiwula to remain for the rest of the season, offering involvement in the FA Cup, Papa John’s Trophy and League One.
