Pompey travel to Elland Road for their opening game of the 2024/25 Championship season.

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has reported a clean bill of health ahead of their opening day clash with Pompey at Elland Road.

Pompey's first Championship game in 12 years sees them head to West Yorkshire to face one of the favourites for the title. The Whites lost to Southampton in the play-off final in May and they won't want to spend another season in English football's second tier.

As if the job wasn't hard enough for John Mousinho's men, they won't be able to exploit Leeds for any injuries, as they are expecting a full squad to choose from on Saturday. Summer signing Jayden Bogle was a concern after picking up a dead leg against Valencia, whilst Patrick Bamford has got some first team minutes under his belt after undergoing surgery on his knee.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Farke said: "Everyone is available, so good news. We've rarely had this situation in my life for the first game when everyone is fit and ready to go.

“I'm also a bit surprised, when you work that hard [in pre-season] you usually have a little muscle injury. Credit to our physios and sports scientists and the players.

"We're a bit lucky there were no contact injuries [against Valencia], there was a dead leg for Jayden but he's ready to go. All the players are ready to go."

Harry Gray, the 15-year-old brother of Archie Gray who was sold to Spurs this summer, is out with a back injury but he wasn't expected to earn any Championship minutes any time soon. His brother Archie went to Spurs for £30m, with Joe Rodon going in the other direction for £10m.

The other high profile departures from Leeds this summer include Glen Klamara who went to French side Rennes and earlier this month, Crysencio Summerville was sold to West Ham United.
