We’re now 13 days into the January transfer window and Pompey have been linked with a whole host of players without actually bringing anyone in so far.
It’s no secret that Danny Cowley is looking to reshape his Blues squad this month to enhance their chances in the play-off race, with the exit of Ellis Harrison and the impending departures of Paul Downing and Gassan Ahadme key parts of that plan.
The south coast club are actively pursuing a new striker and central-defender this month.
Click through the list to see every player linked with a move to Fratton Park this winter – and the latest on their respective futures.

Josh Sims has been a free agent since his Southampton release in the summer. Pompey were linked to his services in June, but Sims remained without a club after battling health problems. It's unclear if the club are in the market for a winger with a striker and central defender the priority. If they were, the fact Sims hasn't played since last May suggest he's nowhere near ready to make an impact - and that's not what Pompey need heading into an important second half of the season. If Pompey were to sign Pearce this month it would be deemed a 'great coup' from those of a Wigan persuasion. But a fee would be required which makes any move in January unlikely. With the Blues likely to recruit a specialist left wing-back in the summer, though, Pearce will be of interest - especially if he becomes a free agent. The only problem is, others are monitoring his Wigan developments - including Championship Preston. Picture: Michael Regan Photo: Michael Regan
Pompey have joined a number of clubs in the EFL looking to sign Cameron Archer from Aston Villa. Danny Cowley is a huge admirer of the starlet, but any deal has been put on ice for now with Steven Gerrard keen on keeping him among his first-team ranks until attacking reinforcements are brought in. Cowley is confident he can lure the likes of Archer to Fratton Park but the competition is tough, with Derby, Preston, Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday all keen. Linked with Pompey on Wednesday, Uwakwe showed his quality in League One with Accrington last season and could be available after growing in anonymity at Stamford Bridge. A loan is an option, but is midfield a priority this month? Only if Miguel Azeez leaves. Picture: Alex Pantling/Getty Images Photo: Alex Pantling
