Lee Brown has revealed how he was jumped by three men near his home on Saturday night.

The left-back, speaking after Pompey's 1-1 draw with Oxford, had a cut with stitches on his nose.

When asked about his injury, Brown revealed that three men attacked him when he was collecting a Lebanese meal near his Cobham home.

Luckily, they didn’t manage to steal anything off the defender.e

Brown said: ‘I got jumped on Saturday. You don’t really expect it to happen.

‘I was picking up some nice Lebanese food. It’s one of those things.

‘Three guys come and jumped me, tried to nick my wallet and watch by fortunately they didn’t get anything.

‘It’s one of those things. I’m just glad they didn’t get anything or didn’t have a knife or anything.

‘You could say that (I had to throw a few punches). You could say it shook me up a bit but what can you do, it could have been an elderly person.

‘I have never moved so quickly, put it that way.’
