While the Tractor Boys have made nine changes to the side that lost to Sunderland in the league in midweek, Blues boss Kenny Jackett has resisted the temptation to rotate his team.

Instead, he names the same starting XI that beat Lincoln so convincingly on Tuesday night.

The only change comes on the bench, with Paul Downing replacing Alfie Stanley among the substitutes.

Some fans like the fact that Pompey have stayed strong, with progress and potential prize money clearly on their minds.

The majority, though, believe Jackett should have rotated his team and kept his focus on league matters.

Here’s what fans on Twitter have been saying...

@pompeychiv: Full strength team in the FA Cup?! Can't say I agree with this.

Cup competition, perfect place to rotate a bit. Full focus should be on the league.

@84Knight: When will he learn that cup runs ultimately effect your league season in the long run?

Get out of this competition.

@Niall_Judge26: Any FA Cup run we’ve had in recent years always coincides with our league form suffering.

Yet he continues to go full strength while other promotion contenders rest players.

@LewPeet: Makes sense! More than a week till the next league game. Make 11 changes on Tuesday.

@Aaron25650310: Have we not learnt anything ! I hope we get knocked out need to focus on the league!!! Money money money that's why !!!

@Lawro77: Any injuries suffered today and it’s a bad call.

Schedule has been hectic, and we’ve seen 2 muscular injuries in the last week or so, and Naylor suffering cramp.

I’d have preferred some changes.

@AlexTurner_1995: Solid team today, need the win to keep the cash flow coming in hence the strong selection!

Need to try make the money through no fans attending any way we can! Up the blues!

@JordanCrane97: Struggle to find a better game to start Haji in this season. Strange that we wouldn’t rotate.

@IanPiper1: Maybe an attempt to get some bragging rights against a promotion rival?

Mind games. Rotation will kick again against West Ham.

@ffslluke: i would’ve liked some rotation, league is way more important
