Pompey welcome Blackburn Rovers to Fratton Park on Saturday (3pm) knowing they desperately need to start turning things around.
Three Championship defeats in a row and just one win in 10 leaves John Mousinho’s side third from bottom in the table and two points from safety.
The Blues do have a game in hand on 21st-placed Oxford United after last weekend’s trip to Charlton was abandoned after 12 games following a medical emergency in the home end.
But with Pompey currently struggling for victories and limited to just four all season, playing one game less than the U’s provides little comfort.
A win against a fellow Championship struggler will do confidence levels around Fratton Park the world of good, though, and give fans some much-needed belief as we approach the second half of the season.
But what should Mousinho do selection-wise to ensure another PO4 moment isn’t missed? The head coach still has one hand tied behind his back due to injuries - but he does have options to once again tinker with a forward line that is the joint-lowest for goals in the division.
Is it time to recall Colby Bishop to the team? Does he need to give someone else the chance to make themselves indispensible on the right wing? Is Saturday’s visit of Blackburn the perfect opportunity to get the best out of Conor Chaplin? Does he restore Callum Lang his his favoured no10 role?
These are just some of the questions only Mousinho knows the answer to. We’ll soon find out tomorrow. But in the meantime, here’s how we think Pompey will line up against a Blackburn side just five points above them in the table.

5. Centre-back 2 - Ibane Bowat
The centre-back had some nervy moments against the Swans in midweek. But despite Josh Knight potentially being back for the Blackburn game, his ability to advance the ball out from the back better could be crucial for what is being described as a much-win for the Blues. | Iconic Media

6. Left-back - Zak Swanson
Swanson suffered a back injury in the defeat to Swansea but is expected to be available for the visit of Rovers. That's good as he's proven his value in the absence of Conor Ogilvie. | Iconic Media

7. Centre midfield 1 - Andre Dozzell

8. Central midfield 2 - Marlon Pack
Pompey's midfield is something that needs to be fixed in the January transfer window. No-one really imagined Pack being first-choice this season, but he's proving the most consistent and impactful when compated to John Swift, Mark Kosznovszky and Luke Le Roux. His leadership is also key amid Bishop's form and Poole injury. | Iconic Media
