Pompey came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers in their latest friendly.
John Mousinho’s men found themselves trialling on 57 minutes following Fabrizio Cavegn’s low strike from the edge of the box which beat Ben Killip.
However, the Blues were indebted to a surprise triallist for the leveller, whose switch from left-back to left wing brought a save out of Rovers’ keeper.
Fellow substitute Brandon Downey followed up to divert the loose ball into the next for a 77th minute equaliser against the League Two side.
And here are our player ratings...

9. Eoin Kenny - 7
(Replaced by Michael Ani on 62 mins) Most effective showing in pre-season so far. Had a glimpse of goal when Williams’ ball with the outside of the boot found the youngster inside the box, but Harbottle blocked his goal-bound shot. Drew a round of applause from the travelling faithful late in the first half after a lovely bit of skill on the right wing. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages

10. Adrian Segecic - 5
(Replaced by Chinedu Agu on 62 min) Had one shooting on that trusty left foot which flew narrowly over the bar and a couple of decent attacking moments. Yet otherwise largely quiet in that number 10 role. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages

11. Harvey Blair - 5
(Replaced by Ibane Bowat on 62 mins) Could have helped himself for a goal on 21 minutes when put clean through by Segecic, but Southam-Hales brilliantly tackled him as the winger was about to pull the trigger. That was his best moment of the half, showing very little effectiveness in attacking situations. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages

12. Colby Bishop - 6
(Replaced by Brandon Downey on 62 mins) Not given a sniff of goal, but led the line well, holding the ball and bringing others into play. Also won a free-kick on the right on the stroke of half-time after a lovely bit of skill saw him get round his man, only to be fouled. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
