The Blues were forced to defend for long periods, yet were brilliantly helped by midfielders Marlon Pack and Iyad Mohamed as they produced a gutsy goalless draw at Turf Moor.
There was first-half controversy when Marlon Pack’s goal was ruled out, but it was another good performance on the road as John Mousinho’s men continue to improve.
And here are our Pompey player ratings.

1. Portsmouth forward Marko Milovanovic (29) during the EFL Championship match between Burnley and Portsmouth at Turf Moor Stadium, Burnley, England on 31st October 2026
Pompey claimed a point at struggling Burnley in a goalless draw. Picture: Jason Brown | Jason Brown

2. Nicolas Schmid - 7
A poor pass out to Ramazani aside, a solid afternoon from the Austrian stopper. Particularly busy in the first half, with good stops from Walker, Hountondji, and a deflected Edwards effort. | Jason Brown

3. Zak Swanson - 8
Preferred to Devlin at right-back, switching flanks following Meghoma’s return, and it was another excellent performance from a player continuing to flourish. Some brilliant defensive clearances coming across from the right when Blues under pressure. | Jason Brown

4. Regan Poole - 9 - Man of the Match
Been a revelation since his return to the side following injuries to rivals. Challenged with doing plenty of defending for large spells, but he stood up the task majestically. Forming quite a partnership with Madiodio Dia. | Jason Brown
