The Blues were forced to defend for long periods, yet were brilliantly helped by midfielders Marlon Pack and Iyad Mohamed as they produced a gutsy goalless draw at Turf Moor.
There was first-half controversy when Marlon Pack’s goal was ruled out, but it was another good performance on the road as John Mousinho’s men continue to improve.
And here are our Pompey player ratings.

5. Madiodio Dia - 8
Continues to impress and, perhaps crucially, added consistency to his game. One nervy moment with a poor defensive header during mix-up with Schmid in the second half, but otherwise superb. | Jason Brown

6. Jayden Meghoma - 7
(Replaced by Terry Devlin on 80 mins) Recalled to the side at left-back after being rested against Millwall. Tried to get forward more in the second half, but otherwise had to focus on defending, like the rest of the team. | Jason Brown

7. Marlon Pack - 8
A day when the Blues were under plenty of pressure defensively and the skipper was always on hand to help out when desperately needed. Crucially blocked Ramazani shot after Schmid’s poor pass had left goal gaping . Controversial moment when first-half goal ruled out. | Jason Brown

8. Iyad Mohamed - 8
Another strong-running midfield performance. Uses his body so well to retain possession, loves a tackle, and rapidly becoming an excellent piece of transfer business. | Jason Brown
