Pompey’s Academy pulled off a Portsmouth Senior Cup upset by defeating the Hawks.
The Westleigh Park match was goalless after 62 minutes before Ciaran Martin opened the scoring for the Blues with a shot from the edge of the box.
Sam Hudson’s side doubled their advantage through Jermaine Osifo, only for the Hawks’ Ethan Giwa-McNeil to reduce the deficit with 13 minutes remaining.
However, skipper Tayo Singerr had the final say when he finished from the spot in the 89th minute to seal an impressive 3-1 win for Pompey’s under-18s and put them into the semi-finals.
And here are our playing ratings...

5. Ciaran Martin - 9 - MOM
The left-back showed his versatility by slotting in at centre-half and he gave an assured performance. Very comfortable on the ball and a lovely left foot, culminating in his first-time shot from the edge of the box opening the scoring on 62 minutes. Looks a really classy performer. | Jason Brown/ProSportsImages

6. Nathaniel Chioma - 7
Strong in the tackle and a ferocious competitor. Defensively very strong, but always had an eye on attacking from left-back. Photo: Jason Brown

7. Fraser Thomas - 8
Handed a deep role and dictated Pompey’s play with his range of passing and natural comfort on the ball. Really made the visitors tick. | Nigel Keene/ProSportsImages

8. Harry Clout - 6
(Replaced by Billy Gillooly on 72 mins) A surprise starter and the oldest player in the Academy’s side in his search for games. Played centrally behind the striker but struggled to get involved and created little. | Steve Bailey/ProSportsImages
