Portsmouth favourite's emotional message to Fratton faithful after sealing Preston North End switch
The attacker scored 16 goals in 53 appearances for the Blues
Callum Lang has penned a heartfelt farewell to the Fratton faithful after clinching a move to Preston North End.
The prolonged transfer was finally completed this evening, with the 27-year-old having said his goodbyes to Blues team-mates and staff on Friday.

According to Preston, it represents a club record transfer fee for the popular attacker, despite being undisclosed.
During two successful years at Fratton Park, Lang scored 16 goals in 53 appearances and helped Pompey return to the Championship after a 12-year absence.
However, he has now signed a three-and-a-half year deal with Preston, who are placed eighth in the Championship.
And, in a statement on X, sent his best wishes to Pompey’s supporters he leaves behind.
Lang wrote: ‘I am really grateful to have had the opportunity to play for this amazing football club. It has been an honour to call Fratton Park home for the last two years.

‘From my debut away at Oxford, I felt an instant connection with this club and its fans and never looked back since. I’ve had so many special memories here that will stay with me forever.
‘The night we got promoted, my first professional hat-trick at Fratton and surviving relegation last season after a tough start. It was a season to be proud of!
‘It’s hard saying goodbye because of how much I have enjoyed my football here, but now is time for my next challenge. I couldn’t have wished to share the dressing room with a better group of lads and worked with staff who I feel have helped me improve as a player massively.
‘I am thankful to everyone involved at Portsmouth Football Club and the fans for a special atmosphere every week. PUP.’
