Thomas Waddingham was the Pompey hero with a late winner to fire them into the play-off positions - for now.
Introduced off the bench following his latest injury comeback, the Australian netted an 82nd-minute winner after Jake Cooper’s clearance deflected off him.
Earlier the Blues came back from 1-0 down after Nicolas Schmid’s awful kick presented Jenson Metcalfe with a sixth-minute lead.
That was cancelled out by Lyndon Dykes’ own goal following an Adrian Segecic free-kick - and then Waddingham claimed a 2-1 success to move the Blues into eighth.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...

5. Regan Poole - 8
Deservedly getting a lot of praise for recent performances since returning to the team and this was another superb showing. Defended heroically, playing like a man possessed. | Jason Brown

6. Zak Swanson - 8
Back in the team after being rested, albeit surprisingly at left-back in place of Meghoma, not that it impacted his performance. Another impressive swashbuckling display, charging up and down that left flank. | Jason Brown

7. Marlon Pack - 7
Returned to the team and reclaimed the captaincy after a Wolves break. Drove the Blues on from deep and relentless in his chasing and harrying. | Jason Brown

8. Iyad Mohamed - 8 - Man of the Match
A fourth successive start for the Comoros international and few would argue against him being in the team at present. Strong on the ball, mobile, and particularly impressive in the second half. | Jason Brown
