Thomas Waddingham was the Pompey hero with a late winner to fire them into the play-off positions - for now.
Introduced off the bench following his latest injury comeback, the Australian netted an 82nd-minute winner after Jake Cooper’s clearance deflected off him.
Earlier the Blues came back from 1-0 down after Nicolas Schmid’s awful kick presented Jenson Metcalfe with a sixth-minute lead.
That was cancelled out by Lyndon Dykes’ own goal following an Adrian Segecic free-kick - and then Waddingham claimed a 2-1 success to move the Blues into eighth.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...

9. Abu Kamara - 5
Still scratching round for Pompey form upon his return. Too many poor decisions in promising positions, although occasionally shows encouraging signs of attacking quality. Won the free-kick which led to the Blues’ equaliser. | Jason Brown

10. Adrian Segecic - 6
(Replaced by Ebou Adams on 61 mins) Had a hand in the equaliser when his right-wing free-kick was diverted past his own keeper by Dykes, yet struggled in the conditions. Passing let him down on several occasions, including his final input before being substituted. | Jason Brown

11. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen - 7
(Replaced by Tyrese Shade on 61 mins) Restored to the right wing having been rested at Molineux and again the Blues’ best attacking option. However, visibly tired early in the second half and looked absolutely shattered when he was brought off. | Jason Brown

12. Marko Milovanovic - 5
(Replaced by Thomas Waddingham on 61 mins) - Recalled in place of Tyrese Shade and found it tough up against Cooper, getting very little change. Certainly a match to forget for the Serb, who was unable to retain possession and offered little threat. | Jason Brown
