Portsmouth midfielder’s tantalising message after former Birmingham City man’s eye-catching showing on landmark night against Swansea City
The summer Stockport County capture had a full start to remember under the Fratton Park lights against Swansea City last night.
Odin Bailey savoured offering Pompey supporters their first significant sight of his Championship potential in the dramatic Swansea City victory.
But the summer Fratton capture is adamant there’s so much more to come from him, after producing an eye-catching full debut in the 3-1 victory at Fratton Park.
Bailey: ‘To get atmosphere like that on my full debut was special, a night I won’t forget’

Bailey came in for his first start after arriving at PO4 following his exit from Stockport County, with the former Birmingham City man impressing in the No10 role.
The 26-year-old relished being given the opportunity to show what he can do amid four changes from John Mousinho, but believes there’s much more to follow for his side.
Bailey said: ‘I have been waiting for that - and it was amazing.
‘It was a real proud moment for me and my family. This place was rocking and I enjoyed every, single moment of it.
‘To get an atmosphere like that on my full home debut was special, a night I won’t forget.
‘I definitely feel I showed what I can do, I definitely showed glimpses of what I can do on the ball.
‘I’m by no means where I want to be at, but I’m not going to be too harsh on myself. It’s my first 90 in a while now.
‘I showed glimpses, but it was about me doing the basics well, working hard for the team and when I got the ball being secure with it and playing forward.
‘I’m critical of myself because I know what I can bring, but by no means am I disappointed by my performance.
‘I’m over the moon. If you’d asked my before the game would the night go like that I would’ve snapped your hand off.
‘It’s a real good foundation to build on.’
Bailey started in an advanced central role meant Adrian Segečić moving to the right flank, with Mousinho switching up his attacking options.
Bailey feels he showed his qualities bring something different to the table to the other attacking options at Mousinho’s disposal.
He added: ‘I feel I’m a slightly different profile to the players we have in the squad. When I do get my opportunities I have to show that.
‘I’m not as direct as some of our players, I try to look for those clever, little passes.
‘I try and pass the ball forward and I like to carry the ball as well.
‘I feel I add something different to the squad, so hopefully I can carry on showing that.’
