Exclusive:Pompey defender’s incredible response to whether side can reach play-offs this season
The Premier League loanee feels Pompey fans should be dreaming big in the Championship this season.
Pompey can stun the Championship and reach the Premier League THIS season.
That’s the verdict of Blues defender Jayden Meghoma, who believes the Fratton Faithful should be dreaming of reaching the top-flight promised land this term.
Meghoma on what can be achieved at Pompey: ‘Definitely reaching play-offs and going to Premier League’

Meghoma has helped his side to the fringe of the play-offs in the second tier, following a six-game unbeaten run and one loss in 10 league outings.
The Brentford loanee thinks that run shows Pompey’s potential, with a top-eight finish within their grasp this term.
The former Rangers man feels there’s the talent and ability in John Mousinho’s squad to make what would be a mind-blowing campaign a reality.
Meghoma said: ‘We have to keep pushing forward. We have to keep pushing up and up and keep dreaming.
‘We want to aim high and to keep the fans dreaming.
‘That’s the main thing, I think our dreams can become a reality for us.
‘Of course the quality is there - and it’s belief, too. It’s down to belief and believing what we can achieve.
‘That’s definitely reaching the play-offs and going up to the Premier League.
‘I’m enjoying it here, I’ve enjoyed every moment. It’s on to Stoke now - let’s get the win.’
Two stoppage-time goals gave Pompey another eye-catching win, as they stopped Swansea City going top of the Championship on Tuesday night.
That 3-1 success makes it 14 points from a possible 18, with confidence building off the back of the disappointing south-coast derby defeat to Southampton last month.
The spirit in the Pompey camp has been evident in that time with the whole group playing their part and being selfless in their attitudes, in the eyes of Meghoma.
He added: ‘It’s a fantastic place to be.
‘The togetherness is amazing from the staff, team and every single player. Everyone knows their role and everyone’s playing their part.
‘I think everyone gets along with each other and everyone wants to work for each other, that’s what you notice.
‘I think that’s the biggest factor - everyone loves playing with each other. The minute that happens everything seems to click. There’s no big egos.
‘From the minute I’ve come in everyone has been welcoming, that says a lot to me. It’s testament to the players we have here.’
