Pompey are in the midst of an early-season injury crisis, with Mousinho’s options limited ahead of tonight’s game.

The head coach revealed the striker sustained a know issue, although the severity of the setback remains to be seen.

This evening’s fixture will come too soon, however, for Thomas Waddingham, who I could return to the fray against Millwall on Saturday.

The Aussie has been sidelined since August with an ankle problem and has completed his comeback to training.

Meanwhile, the extent of Conor Shaughnessy’s calf injury remains to be seen, with the Irishman still not back in the fold.

Josh Murphy (groin), Connor Ogilvie (knee), Mark Kosznovszky (knee), Franco Umeh (hamstring), Benjy Arthur (back), Luke Brooke-Smith (ankle) and Keshi Anderson (hamstring) are all absent.

Wolves will also have a number of key personnel out against Pompey, including star striker Raul Jimenez.

He’s also officiated three Championship games this season, brandishing 12 yellow cards.
