Adrian Segecic’s memorable hat-trick earned Pompey an eye-catching win at Stoke in their penultimate match of the season.
Already comfortably the Blues’ leading scorer, the Croatian under-21 international handed the Blues a first-half lead when he lashed home a left-footed cross from Harvey Blair’s excellent pass.
The unmarked Lamine Cisse headed home an equaliser just after the break, only for Segecic to restore Pompey’s advantage when steering home substitute Josh Murphy’s left-wing cross.
He then wrapped up his hat-trick - and victory - with a low left-footed shot from outside the box as the visitors claimed a 3-1 victory to move up to 18th.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...

9. John Swift - 6
(Replaced by Jacob Brown on 62 mins) Capable of producing some lovely touches with the ball, but drifted in and out of this game. Still, on a few occasions, almost played a magical pass to put a team-mate through, only for it to be intercepted. | Pro Sports Images

10. Harvey Blair - 7
(Replaced by Josh Murphy on 61 mins) Given only his second league start of 2026, replacing Alli on the left wing and it was his sublime pass which carved out the Blues’ opener. However, made little inroads as an attacking force down the flank. | Alun Roberts/ProSportsImages

11. Adrian Segecic - 9 - MOM
That’s now four goals in a week from the Australian who is enjoying himself as the season reaches its conclusion. Two lovely left-footed finishes and the other off his knee at the far post. Clearly has a huge future ahead of him with now 10 goals in his maiden season in England. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

12. Colby Bishop - 7
(Replaced by Thomas Waddingham on 79 mins) No sniff of goal and barely threatened, but, as ever, put himself about and gave his centre-halves a hard time throughout. Had the captaincy in Pack’s absence. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
