According to the Daily Record, the Blues want to the Rangers man back after spending the previous campaign at Fratton Park.
But Kenny Jackett's side are said to have competition from Hibernian for McCrorie's signature.

In total, McCrorie made 23 appearances as the Blues suffered League One play-off semi-final defeat to Oxford.
The 22-year-old returned to Ibrox and was involved in their pre-season set-up ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, McCrorie was surplus to requirements for Rangers' opening-day victory at Aberdeen on Saturday.

With McCrorie down the pecking order at the Scottish giants, Pompey reportedly want him back at PO4 ahead of a renewed push for the Championship.
He said: ‘I’m just going to get my head down and work hard, because I’ve got a lot to prove.
‘Then we’ll see what happens in the coming weeks.
