Crucially for Danny Cowley, he will have Owen Dale and Dane Scarlett back in his disposal after the pair were both unavailable for last week’s win over MK Dons in the FA Cup.
The pair were denied the chance to feature by their parent clubs but are both expected to make an instant return following their absence.
The head coach delivered positive news on the injury front with Louis Thompson, Tom Lowery and Michael Jacobs all back in training.
Cowley admitted he will have to make a tight call on the latter but ruled out the central midfield duo for the contrast at Adams Park.
Joe Morrell declined the chance to have the weekend off after his return from the World Cup and could also make an instant return to the squad.
Here’s how we believe the Blues could line-up in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Sunday.

No questions really. He’s Danny Cowley’s trusted number one and despite the recent criticism from fans is the main man between the sticks. Photo: Jason Brown

2. RB: Zak Swanson
The youngster has come into his own in recent weeks, stepping up to the plate in Joe Rafferty’s absence. His performances keep getting better and better and there’s no surprises seeing his name on the team sheet for this one. Photo: Jason Brown

3. CB: Sean Raggett
You can’t keep this man out of any Pompey team when he’s fit. Cowley trusts him, the Pompey fans love him and expect him to be in the heart of defence on Sunday. Photo: Jason Brown

4. CB: Clark Robertson
Plenty of questions over how the Blues will shape up after they played with a back three last week in the FA Cup. Should Cowley revert to a back four, Robertson and Raggett have been his trusted duo at the back and will continue that way at Adams Park. Photo: Jason Brown
