The Northern Irish winger is one of several teenagers who will leave Fratton Park at the end of the season as part of a major academy player overhaul.

Teggart, 19, was signed by the Blues from Cliftonville for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2018.

He made two appearances for Pompey – both in the EFL Trophy – while he’s been on loan at his former club since January, as well as spending time at Gosport Borough before Christmas.

The Ulsterman, however, will not be handed fresh terms at Fratton Park, along with countryman Gerard Storey and Harry Anderson.

Harry Kavanagh, Charlie Bell, Harvey Rew and Taylor Seymour have too been told they’re being released, while Alfie Stanley’s future is cast in doubt.

However, Teggart will always cherish his time on the south coast.
