Portsmouth, Wrexham and Leicester City stars land Championship team of the week spots

Pompey’s impressive run of form continued on Saturday afternoon as they followed up their midweek win over Charlton Athletic with a 3-1 triumph over Millwall.

January signing Gustavo Caballero netted on his second league start for the Blues immediately after the interval, before John Swift doubled the visitors’ lead just before the hour mark.

Although Casper De Norre pulled a goal back for the hosts, Marlon Pack went on to add a third on 67 minutes to put the game to bed at The Den.

The impressive victory lifts John Mousinho’s men up to 19th in the standings and creates a six-point gap between Pompey and the relegation zone.

With three different Blues goalscorers in east London, there were a host of brilliant individual displays as the Fratton Park outfit pulled away from the bottom three.

And one member of Mousinho’s squad has been rewarded with a spot in the latest Championship team of the week, according to data experts WhoScored. But who else made the cut?

Here’s what we discovered as Pompey turn their attentions to their next challenge - Tuesday night’s away trip to Wrexham off the back of their 5-3 victory over fellow promotion-chaers Ipswich Town on Saturday.
