Last time out, Danny Cowley’s men secured a well-earned point at play-off rivals Ipswich to remain in the play-off hunt.
And a win at the sixth-placed Pilgrims could see Pompey reduce the deficit to the top six to four points – keeping them in with a chance of securing promotion.
Cowley made two changes for the trip to Ipswich on Saturday but could make just the one tonight as he continues to rotate his central midfielders.
Here’s how we predict Pompey will line up tonight.

6. CM: Joe Morrell
Was surprisingly dropped on Saturday after a great performance against Crewe. With Cowley continuing to rotate his midfield, the Welshman could be in-line to return to the starting XI. Photo: The News

7. CM: Louis Thompson
The midfielder was taken off with 20 minutes to play on Saturday but has been one of Pompey's best performers in recent weeks and will continue to keep his place in the engine room. Photo: The News

8. LWB: Connor Ogilvie
Another man -of-the-match-worthy performance at the weekend and has fended of competition from Denver Hume to assert his dominance at left-wing back. Photo: The News
