The Greece midfielder, who won the European Championships with his country in 2004, was signed by Tony Adams in January 2009. He made his debut in the 3-2 Fratton Park defeat to Liverpool - but that game proved to be Adams' last in charge. And things quickly went down hill from that moment on, with Basinas featuring just six times under Paul Hart. He was given a chance to rectify his Fratton career following Hart's sacking under Avram Grant, featuring 15 times following his appointment in November 2009, but was released in August 2010. A reported £7m signing from Rennes in 2007, Utaka scored 13 goals during his time at Fratton Park. Another member of the squad that won the FA Cup, he eventually left for Montpellier in 2011 where he now coaches and has his own academy in Nigeria. Photo: Allan Hutchings
