However, the central defender, who believes he is now a free agent, is unsure what the future holds.

Raggett made 38 appearances and scored twice as he grew impressively through a season-long loan from Norwich.

His contract with the Canaries has now also expired, although they possess a 12-month option on the 26-year-old.

Raggett, though, is of the understanding that has now expired – rendering him a free transfer.

Now he’s eyeing his next move.

He told The News: ‘I’m not too sure what’s happening next, to be honest.

‘This is the first time I have been out of contract, so it’s all a bit up in the air at the moment, I am seeing what comes up.

‘I think I’m out of contract, but Norwich haven’t spoken to me. I’m in limbo, it’s a bit strange at the moment.

‘The last time they spoke to me personally was before the lockdown – I haven’t heard anything since

‘They would have had to tell me by now if they were taking up my option, but they haven’t mentioned anything.

‘I’d be interested in Pompey. I want to consider any options which come my way and take it from there. I’m quite open minded.

‘There’s always a chance of coming back to Pompey.

‘Any conversations I will keep to myself. I won’t be talking about anything to do with that. Although I would definitely consider returning.

‘Since the season ended, I have spoken to the gaffer (Jackett). He was pleased with how I did.

‘I’ll just have to wait and see what happens.’

Raggett joined Norwich from Lincoln for an undisclosed fee in August 2017.

However, he has featured just twice for the Canaries, who have now been relegated from the Premier League.

Now Raggett is weighing up his future away from Carrow Road.

He added: ‘There have been conversations with other clubs, but I’m not going to go into detail.

‘It’s a bit unusual. Players don’t know what’s going on, teams don’t know what’s going on. I’m sure I will have a clearer picture in the next few weeks.

‘My agents will be working hard seeing what comes our way.

‘I am open minded. I always say I want to play at the highest level I can, but will consider any options and weigh them up.

‘I’ll see what’s good for my career and go from there.’
