Sky Sports to mark 15th anniversary of Portsmouth's 4-1 Demolition Derby battering of Southampton

This Friday will mark the 15th anniversary of the Demolition Derby.

And Sky Sports are marking the occasion by showing a complete re-run of Pompey’s 4-1 thrashing of Southampton at Fratton Park.

The sports channel will screen the game on Friday night as part of its PL Retro series, which is taking place with the football season suspended amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Fans will get the chance to relive the 27 minutes of bliss as Harry Redknapp’s side were battered by a four-goal salvo five months after he walked out on Pompey.

It will also be a chance to relive the vibrant Fratton atmosphere on a day which will not be forgotten.

The screening follows on from the FA streaming the Blues’ 4-1 FA Cup mauling of their rivals in 2010 last night.

The Demolition Derby will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports PL on Friday night at 8pm.
