That does, of course, exclude the four loan signings, Matt Macey, Owen Dale, Joe Pigott and Dane Scarlett, whose deals are set to expire at the conclusion of the campaign.
After John Mouinho’s arrival at Fratton Park last week, he insisted he was prepared to hand every member of his new squad a clean slate as he eyed immediate gains to the Blues’ campaign.
However, there’ll still be a number of players who will be looking to impress in the second half of the season, with their long-term futures unclear.
We’ve taken a look at the situation of every out-of-contract member in Mousinho’s side to understand their position as they enter the final months of their contracts.

9. Louis Thompson
Thompson was handed a one-year deal in the summer but has been sidelined for the majority of this campaign with a broken leg. The Fratton faithful would love the 28-year-old to extend his current contract and, should he stay fit for the second half of the season, the midfielder could play a vital role in their quest for promotion. 10. Jayden Reid
The forgotten youngster is yet to register any competitive minutes for the Blues, picking up ACL injuries in consecutive seasons. Cowley previously claimed he will show loyalty to the 21-year-old and will be given his chance to prove his worth at Fratton Park, but that picture now remains unclear whether he will be a part of Mousinho’s plans. 11. Michael Morrison
A move to Cambridge United is in the offing, with John Mousinho confirming the 34-year-old would be departing Fratton Park this month to join the U’s as a player-coach. Should a move fail to come to fruition, it is certain Morrison would leave on a free when his one-year deal comes to a close at the end of the season. Photo: Jason Brown
