But the two clubs have now locked horns in a virtual final to whet fans’ appetites ahead of the rescheduled match taking place when it’s safe to do so.

The EFL, Leasing.com and EA linked up to organise a 1v1 game of Fifa between the clubs to decide bragging rights before the real thing takes place.

Steve Seddon was on the control pad for the Blues as he went up against Salford’s Ibou Touray.

Pompey fans chose the Blues line-up with Seddon opting for a 4-3-3 formation.

Touray admitted he’s the top player among the Salford squad and regularly picks up victories on away trips, while the man on loan at Fratton Park from Birmingham revealed he’d got some practice in before the match.
